There are many more complicated Chinese input methods --- 5 stroke, CangJie, NieMa, ZhengMa, ZhuYin, Internal Code, just to name a few. For beginners, we introduce CangJie codes. The principles of CangJie input method is to associate radicals with keystrokes (see figure below). For example, the radical 日 is associated with �a�, and the radical 月 is associated with �b�. Under CangJie晶 is �aaa�, 昌 is �aa�, 明 is �ab� and 朋 is �bb�. Beginners are not required to learn Chinese input methods such as CangJie. CangJie codes, however, highlights the importance of radicals in Chinese.
